Winner of scholarship for "Global Social Enterprising"

IaW won scholarship for "Global Social Enterprising"-course at GSBI, University of Santa Clara, California, USA 18-31 august 2007.

IaW on USA TV

IaW was selected from 120 social entrepreneurs worldwide to participate in the 5th Global Social Benefit Initiative which is annually organized at the University of Santa Clara in California. 17 entrepreneurs from 12 countries worked towards their business plan presentation which was held on the final course day. IaW’s integrated ideas for bridging the gap between technology and sustainable, donor-independent reaching the public was received very well.

Winner of World Bank DM2006

Water Pump
Winner of World Bank DM2006! In Washington DC on May 9th 2006 the prize winners of the annual worldwide Development Marketplace competitions were announced.
From the 2593 applications, IaW was selected together with our partner Resource Development International (RDI) (www.rdic.org) and rewarded with funds for implementation our Rope Pump project.
Implementation of the project will start in July 2006.


Update 2012
The water pump factory manufactures 5 types of rope pumps and 12 staff have fulltime jobs. There are over 4000 pumps installed in Cambodia (May-2012) and our designs are shared with North Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, Sierra Leone. The factory is fully Cambodian managed and expects to reach break-even point in 2012.
