|
 |
Ideas at Work (IaW) started its social enterprise in the middle of 2005 and is registered in Cambodia and in the Netherlands. The IaW team, a group of experienced engineers and business people, consists of Khmer and foreign staff with over 20 years of work experience in Cambodia. IaW believes in sharing the experience of implementing ideas and innovations at the same time providing jobs for disadvantaged Cambodians.
Profits are invested back into the organisation and 25% goes towards improving the situation in orphanages.
Vision : Bringing
ideas into reality.
Mission : To build local capacity and improve livelihoods.
Purpose : To improve the capacity of Cambodian people and organisations in
order to gain a greater foreign independency by working closely together.
To act as a vehicle for groups or individuals with ideas that could make a difference to the Cambodian people.
IaW stands on three pillars:
- Support to groups and/or individuals with ideas that might make a difference for Cambodians and the realisation of those ideas.
- Collaboration with Cambodian organisations to improve their situation (skills, capacity, opportunity creation).
- Portal for :
- European EUROs (individuals, organisations, businesses who have often seen a Cambodian project and would like to financially support it without losing money to overheads and bank transfer costs)
- Foreign businesses who consider outsourcing manufacturing of labour intensive products to Cambodian businesses
